After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Community Mental Health from the University at Buffalo – Tara soon began her career in the behavioral health field. She recently served the community as a Recovery Coach, supporting individuals diagnosed with both Mental Health and Substance Use disorders. With a masters degree in Organizational Leadership, Tara brings her passion for organizational development and interpersonal connection to the Affiliate Relations Coordinator role. Tara shares that, as a peer advocate herself, one of the most exciting parts about working for Compeer is being part of an organization that places such value in the power of friendship.
